YOUTH FOOTBALL

The Youth section at Helston AFC has been created to provide football opportunities within the boundaries of the town.  From this, the club will be able to provide a platform to enable youngsters to make new friends and to become involved in sport, whilst giving them the chance to eventually progress through all age levels and hopefully onto senior football.

Note 1:  Parents/Guardians are responsible for the delivery of their children to and from the clubhouse at the stated times.  Managers and Coaches are not to be left in a position of sole responsibility when all other children have gone home (this is for the protection of both the children and the adults).  Parents are also requested to contact the Manager/Coach prior to training should inclement weather arise.  It will not be the manager’s responsibility to inform parents of last minute cancellations due to weather.

Note 2:  An FA policy that must be adhered to is the wearing of shin pads at all training sessions and matches, along with suitable clothing for the climatic conditions.  Drinks are imperative. The manager/coach in charge of the session reserves the right to turn away individuals who are not appropriately dressed.

Fees

The fee for this season will be £20 per child (cheques made payable to Helston AFC), with additional children £15.  This fee includes family social membership and a training T-shirt, which is to be worn to all training sessions.  All fees are to be paid by 31 August 2007 otherwise individuals will not be permitted to play/train, due to insurance restrictions.  There will be a compulsory match fee of £1, which is an essential source of income for individual team operating costs.

The Club

The youth section of the club is still expanding and we are pleased to announce that Helston AFC will be progressing FA Charter Community Status and also that we are now able to offer football to girls over the age of 11. There is also darts, pool and cards teams based here and a large function room, which can be hired for individual occasions, booking through the Club Secretary.

Help – (Managers, Coaches, Referees, etc)

If the club is to progress and expand the age groups it will be necessary to enlist parental support.  No club like this can function without volunteers.  Therefore, if you can help in any way, please contact your manager or myself.  The club will assist in financing any courses/training that may be required.  

Note:  All managers and coaches have, or are in the process of completing, Criminal Record Bureau (CRB) checks which are mandatory to FA Standard Clubs to ensure the safety of your children while at this club
